国連ユニタール広島事務所では、2015年から紛争後の南スーダンの若者の能力向上を目的とした奨学プログラムを実施しています。本研修は、起業、プロジェクトの立案と運営、リーダシップの分野におけるハードスキル（理論や手法等）ならびにソフトスキル（対人能力等）の向上を目的としています。研修における具体的な修学内容は組織のニーズの把握や分析、環境分析、ステークホルダー分析、リスク軽減、合意形成、円滑なコミュニケーションスキル、紛争からの復興プロセス、多様な働き方への理解、モニタリング・評価手法、ビジネスモデル、チームワークについてなど、多岐にわたります。
6ヶ月間の研修期間中、研修生は各１週間のワークショップ（国内において2回、海外にて2回の計4回）に参加します。また、研修生は教官のサポートの下、所属機関やコミュニティのニーズに沿った事業計画書を各自作成します。これまでに優秀な成績を残した研修修了生は、コーチ養成研修を受講し、次年度以降の研修においてコーチとして教壇に立ち、研修生を指導します。
