It appears that UNITAR has been mentioned in some false “letters of offer” being fraudulently circulated either via Internet, email, fax or regular mail on behalf of other organizations. The following paragraph, or slightly modified, is systematically part of such letters.
“Participate in a paid month long orientation/ training at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) New York. “
UNITAR wishes to advise the public in unconditional terms that the Institute is not involved in either the fictitious training proposed or the fraudulent employment offers.
It was also brought to our attention that there are fraudulent vacancy announcements /offers of employment circulating.
The Institute is not involved in the fictitious and fraudulent employment offers such as this fictitious document "UNITAR Vacancy Newsletter" and that only offers advertised on the UNITAR official website shall be considered when applying for a UNITAR vacancy.
