UNITAR Executive Director, Mr. Carlos Lopes held a high-level meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, whose visit was marked by efforts to reinvigorate activities of the Conference on Disarmament (SG’s address) and the launch of the new Global Compact initiative, “LEAD”, a platform for corporate sustainability leadership, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum’s 2011 annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
