3-4 September 2019, Geneva, Switzerland - As part of the agreement between the Foundation Antonio Meneghetti and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), UNITAR’s Division for Multilateral Diplomacy successfully held two workshops on Public Speaking and Leadership Skills in Geneva, Switzerland. In keeping with its vision of providing the highest quality of training not only for mid-career professionals, but also for the younger generation, the workshops were held on 3rd and 4th of September 2019, with a total of 50 students in attendance.

15-16 August 2019, Nairobi, Kenya - As part of our three-year Memorandum of Understanding between UNITAR and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, UNITAR’s Division for Multilateral Diplomacy held a workshop on Effective Writing and Multilateral Diplomacy in Nairobi, Kenya. It was designed to help participants learn basic and advanced writing and analytical skills for multilateral diplomacy; discover different forms and styles of diplomatic writing and reporting; and learn how to write Official and Diplomatic Correspondence in multilateral diplomacy.
5-7 August 2019, Bangkok, Thailand- In keeping with its vision of providing the highest quality of training and innovation, the Division for Multilateral Diplomacy of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research successfully held the workshop in Bangkok on Preparing Effectively the Thai delegation for the next session of the United Nations General Assembly.
There were two objectives of the training course. The first objective was to prepare the Thai delegation, as well as the colleagues liaising from the capital, for the 74th United Nations General Assembly. The second objective was to provide necessary skills to diplomats involved in the United Nations Affairs to perform more effectively in their work, as well as during sessions of the General Assembly.
UNITAR is delighted to unveil the first edition of the Executive Program in Global Leadership and Business Diplomacy, in partnership with the Global Institute of Excellence, a Hong Kong-based firm dedicated to advancing organizational and professional development.

22 July 2019, Geneva, Switzerland - The Division for Multilateral Diplomacy (DMD) of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) successfully hosted the second cohort of students of the International Leaders Professional Diploma Program in a 6-day in-depth workshop in Geneva from the 12th to 18th of June 2019.
4 July 2019, Geneva, Switzerland - On the 10th and 11th of June 2019, the Division for Multilateral Diplomacy (DMD) of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research successfully hosted a Workshop on Digital Diplomacy, which marked the last workshop in its series of Core Diplomatic Trainings for the 4th Edition of the Executive Diploma in Diplomatic Practice. 19 participants were in attendance including diplomats, international development specialists, entrepreneurs and professionals from the private sector.
