24 September 2013, Geneva, Switzerland - During an information session for government delegates to the United Nations organised by OCHA at the Palais des Nations, UNOSAT was unanimously commended for its work in providing the humanitarian community at large with satellite imagery analysis and near-real time rapid mapping.
11-13 September 2013 Geneva, Switzerland – UNOSAT and the European Commission Joint Research Centre partnered to co-organize a workshop on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for Rapid Mapping. The event successfully brought together members of industry, academia and humanitarian actors to explore the technology´s readiness for rapid mapping and other civilian applications.

12 September 2013, St. Ann, Jamaica - A “Workshop for the Caribbean Region Countries on the GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling)” took place from 3-5 September 2013 in, Runaway Bay, St. Ann, Jamaica. The workshop was attended by 13 Governments from the region and provided a platform for awareness raising on GHS and for countries to share their experiences with GHS implementation.
