3 November 2025, Geneva, Switzerland – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the CIFAL Global Network successfully concluded the Science, Technology, and Sustainable Development Training Programme for Senior Officials, co-developed by UNITAR and CIFAL Shanghai. 29 October 2025, Hiroshima, Japan – On 11 October 2025, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) with ITS Education (ITS) launched the 8-week online “UNITAR Youth Ambassador Asia-Pacific Programme 2025 – Future Skills for Grassroots Leadership”. The opening ceremony was joined by 30 motivated youth from 16 countries, namely, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China including Hong Kong, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, and Viet Nam.

28 October 2025, Dubai, United Arab Emirates - The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Dubai Police signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in human rights training, capacity-building, and resilience. The agreement marks the beginning of a series of joint initiatives to enhance law enforcement practices through international expertise.

Miami, Florida, 28 October 2025 – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders (CIFAL) Miami in close collaboration with UNITAR successfully concluded its Emergency Preparedness and Management Workshop at Florida International University (FIU) on 7-8 October 2025. The two-day intensive programme brought together a group of 35 airport professionals, emergency planners, and government officials from across the Caribbean and Southeastern United States to strengthen crisis response capabilities and operational resilience.
