国連ユニタール持続可能な繁栄局長兼広島事務所長の隈元美穂子は、学生に向けて「今回のイベントが、世界規模の課題について、自分ができることをアクションに変えていくきっかけになることを願っています」と述べました。シンポジウムには、岸田総理大臣の妻、裕子夫人を含む、G7各国首脳・欧州理事会配偶者など6名、ゲスト登壇者5名、広島県内の学生およびUNITAR広島青少年大使プログラム修了生計約100名が出席し、平和について意見交換が行われました。また、登壇者3名は、学生に向けて平和をテーマとしたプレゼンテーションを実施するなど、参加した学生にとって学びの場となりました。
