Key Projects & Initiatives
  • (2023) ELaRA Conference: In December 2023, UNITAR participated in the 2nd ELaRA Conference, titled "Technologies and Techniques to Support Sustainable Education in the Academic Sphere: Pedagogy 5.0 – Creativity, Entrepreneurship, Flexibility, and Thinking Outside the Box." This conference brought together educators and researchers to discuss innovative teaching methods and the integration of technology in education. The proceedings are available in two volumes published in 2024:
  • (2024) UNITAR 2nd International Research Conference: The second edition of the UNITAR International Research Conference took place in December 2024 under the theme “UN-20: Our Common Agenda and the Role of Higher Education in Conflict, Peace, and Development.” The conference focused on the critical role that higher education plays in addressing global peace and development challenges through research, innovation, and knowledge exchange. UNITAR, in collaboration with EUt+ and ELaRA, contributed to the dialogue on how academic institutions can foster peacebuilding and sustainable development through interdisciplinary research and international cooperation.
  • Research and Publications: UNITAR has co-authored several papers with EUt+ and ELaRA that explore key themes in sustainable education, pedagogy, and the role of technology in shaping the future of higher education. These publications contribute to the growing body of knowledge on circular pedagogy, inclusive education, and the integration of learning technologies in academic settings.
