23 May 2024, Hiroshima, Japan – On 27 April 2024, UNITAR signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Center for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA) at a ceremony held at the 2024 Islamic Development Bank Group Annual Meetings in Riyadh. With 2015 representing the 70th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, UNITAR Hiroshima Office developed a unique disarmament and negotiation training programme focused on South East Asia. 2021年3月18日・広島 - 近年では政治、文化及び社会経済分野における女性の活躍の場と範囲が広がりを見せていますが、国際女性デーは、20世紀の始めに女性労働者が労働条件の改善を求めたデモが起源だと言われています。ロシアでは3月8日は女性の日として1917年に公式な休日として制定されました。国連が正式に国際女性デーを制定したのは1977年。それ以降3月8日は世界的に女性の生き方を考え、活躍を称える日となりました。この100年間で働く女性は飛躍的に増え、役割も多様化しています。しかしながら、ジェンダー平等に関する課題は山積みです。
ジェンダー平等と女性のエンパワーメントは持続可能な開発(SDGs)の目標5にも掲げられている重要な要素の一つです。また、分野横断的課題としてその他の16の目標にも関連しています。しかしながら、STEM(科学・技術・工学・数学)教育を含む多くの分野でジェンダー平等の実現に向けた動きは停滞しています。UN Womenによると全世界の女性研究者の割合はわずか30%。STEM分野を勉強している女子学生は分野全体の35%です。また、STEM分野の女性研究者は男性に比べ調査研究の発表数が少なく、低賃金で昇進しにくいという最近の調査結果もあります。STEM教育は私たちの未来を築く重要な基礎です。新型コロナウイルス感染拡大でデジ...
