2024年3月28日・広島 ー 国連ユニタールは、広島県との第8期特定目的拠出金契約(2024年度~2026年度)に合意しました。広島県とユニタールは2003年の設立以来締結してきたパートナーシップを更新し、広島県は国連ユニタール広島事務所が実施する研修等の活動に対し、今後3年間の財政的支援を行うことに合意しました。2024年3月26日に広島県庁で行われた調印式には、湯崎英彦広島県知事と、ニキル・セス国連事務次長補兼国連ユニタール総代表が出席し、本契約に調印しました。
湯崎知事は、ユニタールのこれまで20年間にわたる広島から世界へ向けた取り組みに対する弛みない努力に敬意と感謝を表されました。,

国連ユニタール持続可能な繁栄局 は、「 食糧安全保障を強化し、気候変動に強い経済活動の支援」をテーマとした、「アフリカの女性と若者を対象としたグリーン生計開発」研修の最終フェーズを2024年2月26日から3月1日の間日本で開催します。
本研修は、タンザニア、ザンビア、ジンバブエの3カ国を対象としており、最終選考を通過した研修者24名が東京と広島を訪れ、講義やスタディーツアーなどに参加します。
本研修は、持続可能で気候変動に強いビジネスを開発するための起業家精神とデジタル知識・技術を身につけることで、女性と若者のエンパワーメントを図ることを目的としています。
