Mwikali Munyao, Kenyan carpenter and entrepreneur, participated in the first round of the UNITAR Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership Training for Women Entrepreneurs in Africa.
In the COVID-19 pandemic, Mwikali lost her job as a customer service agent. She decided to pursue her interest in carpentry and turned it into a business.

UNITAR and UNITAR Association invite Hiroshima high school students (grades 10 to 12) to apply to the “2024 UNITAR Hiroshima Youth Ambassador Programme: Leaders for a New Era.”
The programme theme will be centred around nuclear disarmament and peacebuilding. The programme will take place mainly at the UNITAR Hiroshima Office and partially online, from 30 June to 30 August 2024.
