The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and EU Business School are proud to announce the siginig of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see the launch of a new Master's Programme in Digital International Relationships and Diplomacy. The MoU solidifies this collaboration, marking a significant step forward in fostering education that aligns with the demands of the digital era. The MoU was successfully signed in a ceremony held at the UNITAR Headquarters in Geneva on 17th August with representatives from both institutions in attendance.

9 August 2023, Geneva, Switzerland - In celebration of the International Day of the World's Indigenous People on August 9th, UNITAR, in collaboration with the Science Diplomacy Center, Springer Nature, and the International Network for Government Science Advice Africa, as well as dozens of other esteemed partners, organized the Global Indigenous Youth Summit on Climate Change. This unique event created a platform for Indigenous youth worldwide to collaboratively address climate challenges and explore sustainable solutions.

To exemplify our commitment to delivering on our mandate and working in the spirit of inclusivity and social responsibility, our “Art for Peace” NFT Collection will help shape the new leaders of a new world, by serving as a fundraising platform that will cover the tuition fees for 50 students from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS). We prioritize inclusivity, and strive to ensure that education is accessible to all.

UNITAR is delighted to announce its partnership with Berexia, dedicated to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals through the expansive tools of digital transformation, digital governance and artificial intelligence. 

14 December 2022, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR’s Division for Multilateral Diplomacy welcomed a delegation from the Arrowad Group under the leadership of Dr. Saad Ibrahim AlKhalaf to initiate a joint value-based leadership programme. Arrowad for Building Values, one of the entities of Arrowad International Group, specializes in creating and developing value-specific knowledge.

Background
In light of the current globalized and multi-cultural business world, UNITAR and Arrowad have joined forces to create a unique training programme that focusses on the importance of value systems of individuals, society and cultures, and how these affect organizational values and cultures. Set to be launched in the first quarter of 2023, the ten tier programme on Value-Based Leadership addresses itself to the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. The envisioned training will provide essential value-based leadership skills to staff of international, intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations; diplomats; government officials; and private sector professionals to create awareness on Values-Based-Leadership so that it can reflect into their policies and procedures, initiatives and engagements with core value connectors.

In light of the International Professional Programme’s recent launch, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and CEU San Pablo University held a conference in Madrid, Spain to provide students with insights into the United Nations. More specifically, attendees were given insights into UNITAR’s mission and strategy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as support governments in the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.

3 June 2022, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR's Division for Multilateral Diplomacy was pleased to receive a visit from a delegation of the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network, sponsored by the Government of Gangwon last month on 16 May 2022. The visit was arranged with the kind support of the Global Hope Network International (GHNI). During a joint tour through the Palais des Nations in Geneva, UNITAR's Division for Multilateral Diplomacy and the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network were exploring avenues of cooperation in the field of Sports Diplomacy and Peace. The visit of the delegation culminated with a Memorandum of Understanding between the Global Inter-Gangwon Cooperation Network and UNITAR.

1 June 2022, Geneva, Switzerland - The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Seton Hall University (SHU) proudly announce the Online Master’s Programme in International Affairs and Diplomatic Practice, a new postgraduate programme which will allow mid-career professionals to explore contemporary diplomacy against the changing nature of world politics in relation to international law, and enable them to investigate the complexities of relationships between different countries.
