※リンク先が英文となっている場合があります。ご了承ください。, 2022年8月6日、広島への原爆投下から77年を機に、アントニオ・グテーレス国連事務総長が広島を訪れました。核軍縮を進め、平和で持続可能な世界を実現する一歩になるよう、若者の活動家たちと非公式な意見交換に臨みました（国連軍縮部、国連広報センター、国連ユニタール、広島県/へいわ創造機構ひろしま(HOPe)共催）。事務総長は、人類を救い、将来の世代を守るためには、軍縮が重要であると強調。様々な手段を活用して行動を起こすことを呼び掛けました。

The year 2023 was a very special and exciting one for the UNITAR Division for Prosperity, as we celebrated not only the 60th anniversary of UNITAR but also the 20th of the Hiroshima Office, which is a part of the Division for Prosperity. We held many events in Japan and Geneva, together with our Advisory Board members, partners, alumni and supporters of UNITAR.
As we close the year with many fond memories, we remain committed to serving the world so that 20 years from now, we can all live in a more sustainable, peaceful and prosperous world.

2023年は、ユニタール創立60周年・広島事務所設立20周年の節目となる、我々にとって格別な一年となりました。日本とジュネーブで、ユニタール諮問委員会メンバー、パートナー、研修修了生、サポーターと共に多くのイベントを行いました。
たくさんの素晴らしい思い出とともに一年を締めくくるにあたり、20年先も私たちがより持続可能で、平和で、繁栄した社会で暮らせるよう、引き続き世界に貢献していく努力を続けます。

ユニタール南スーダン奨学プログラムは、２０１５年から２０１９年までの過去５回のサイクルにおいて、多くの学びを得ました。
本研修では、南スーダン若手から中堅の専門家を対象に、南スーダンの地域のニーズや起業背景に合わせたデザインの作成目的に、イラク国内青年層の知識、スキル、姿勢の成長に向けた方法に焦点を与える１２ヶ月の研修を行っています。
南スーダンの国内人口の３分の２は３０歳未満であり、若者の９０％は正規の雇用につけない状態でいます。多くの南スーダン人が生活のサポートをコミュニティーや家族から得ている状態で、職を得ることは最優先の課題となっています。また、南スーダンは、長い戦乱を経験したことにより、経済が不安定な状況にあります。加えて、政府の支出の多くが軍部に充てられている中、治安の維持が社会の最重要課題となっています。このような南スーダンの状況を考慮し、ユニタール南スーダン奨学プログラムは、南スーダンの青年層のより良い未来のために必要とされるプロジェクトマネジメント、リーダーシップ、そしてビジネススキルを得る機会を研修生へ提供します。
