国連訓練調査研究所（ユニタール）は、個人や団体への創造的な研修を通じて、よりよい未来のための世界レベル・国家レベルでの意思決定を促進する国連機関です。1963年に設立され、2020年には322,410人に学びの機会を提供しました。スイス・ジュネーブの本部のほか、ニューヨーク事務所、広島事務所、ボン事務所があり、世界中に様々な拠点やネットワークをもっています。持続可能な繁栄局（Division for Prosperity）では、広島事務所とジュネーブ本部の職員がともに、起業やリーダーシップ、貿易と金融、デジタル技術、軍縮などについて世界レベルの知識や技術の共有を進めています。アフガニスタン、南スーダン、イラクなど紛争後復興の過程にある国の人々へのプログラムなどには、広島という立地を生かし、原爆投下後から現在の平和都市に至る過程を一つの復興モデルとして研修に組み込むなど、平和で公正な社会の実現にも貢献しています。
