Mr. Carlos Lopes, Executive Director of UNITAR and Director of the UN System Staff College was appointed by the UN Secretary-General as a member of the Governing Board of the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) for the year of 2009. UNITAR and UNITAR Association invite Hiroshima high school students (grades 10 to 12) to apply to the “2024 UNITAR Hiroshima Youth Ambassador Programme: Leaders for a New Era.”
The programme theme will be centred around nuclear disarmament and peacebuilding. The programme will take place mainly at the UNITAR Hiroshima Office and partially online, from 30 June to 30 August 2024.
