Mwikali Munyao, Kenyan carpenter and entrepreneur, participated in the first round of the UNITAR Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership Training for Women Entrepreneurs in Africa.
In the COVID-19 pandemic, Mwikali lost her job as a customer service agent. She decided to pursue her interest in carpentry and turned it into a business.
The UNITAR training taught her the entrepreneurial skills she needed and helped her business overcome financial challenges.

政府関係者、教育機関関係者、NGO、研修参加者の代表らが開会式に参加しました。
2023年10月から2024年3月まで実施される同研修プログラムには、ポーランド在住の約500名 のウクライナ避難民女性が参加する予定です。
ユニタール持続可能な繁栄局にとってウクライナ避難民を対象とした初の研修となります。
同プログラムは、日本国政府ならびに国民の皆様のご支援により提供されます。

UNITAR, Unilever’s Sunlight and Absa Bank Kenya will run a new joint programme, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Leadership Training for Women Entrepreneurs in Africa.
The online programme will train 5,000 women entrepreneurs in Kenya by June 2022 to develop their social or for-profit businesses.
Applications are now welcome from women business owners in Kenya who aspire to make a positive impact on their communities.

Geotag-X is a platform for crowdsourcing analysis of the media coming out of a disaster situation. As smartphones with cameras and geo-location capabilities become more accessible, more and more media is being created and loaded onto the internet in a disaster situation.
