22 to 23 August 2011, Victoria, Mahé, Seychelles - The implementation of the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) was identified by Seychelles as a priority issue in its Capacity Assessment.
Given the low level of knowledge on GHS in the country, UNITAR was invited to facilitate a workshop on this issue. Twenty-five junior Italian diplomats took part in a training workshop on communication skills organized by UNSSC at the UN Campus in Turin, Italy from 24 to 30 January 2010. During a full day simulation exercise developed by UNITAR, participants identified and practiced key skills for negotiation, drafting and decision-making in United Nations conferences.
