22 June 2011, Geneva, Switzerland. Last week for the first time UNITAR’s Multilateral Diplomacy Programme (MDP) implemented its new workshop on “Positivity Skills”. During the two day training the participants learned how to remain positive and spread positivity in their team as well as how to tackle challenges with a positive attitude. 26 July 2011, Geneva, Switzerland - UNOSAT concluded in June 2011 its technical support and analysis collaboration with the Satellite Sentinel Project launched by actor George Clooney together with the NGO Enough and with support from Harvard University. 2021年2月26日・広島 ― 国連ユニタール広島事務所と国連ユニタール協会は、第9回 Ideas That Matterシリーズ「日本のジェンダー感覚-リーダーシップを目指して」の公開セミナーを3月8日に開催します。より良い意思決定、政策立案、法整備などのためには、女性の視点や経験、スキルが欠かせません。持続可能な開発目標(SDGs)の目標5「ジェンダーの平等の実現」の中に、「政治、経済、公共分野でのあらゆるレベルの意思決定において、完全かつ効果的な女性の参画及び平等なリーダーシップの機会を確保する」とあります。
しかしながら、世界経済フォーラム(WEF)が発表した「ジェンダーギャップ指数2020」によると、日本は153か国中121位という結果でした。この不名誉な結果の大きな要因は、政治・経済分野における大臣・管理職レベルの女性割合の低さにあります。

Olga Devic is a translator that joined a team of young women to translate a course on AI and human rights into Serbian.
The course is “Defending Human Rights in the Age of Artificial Intelligence“ and was created by UNITAR and UNESCO in English with original translations in French, Spanish, Russian, and Chinese.

In August 2021, Crowd4SDG launched the second GEAR Cycle of the project. This year’s GEAR Cycle focuses on two Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – SDG 13 on Climate Change and SDG 5 on Gender Equality.
