2015年9月16-21日の日程で国連ユニタール広島事務所は米国国際開発援助庁(US AID)女性開発プロジェクトと中国新聞共催で国連ユニタール アフガニスタン女子代表サッカーチームのリーダーシップとコミュニケーション能力向上研修を実施しました。
スポーツをすることには多くの利点があります。特に紛争国に住む女性にとって自尊心を高め社会参画を促進し、既存のジェンダー規範を疑問視し、リーダーとして活躍する機会を与えるなどスポーツを経験することによる多くの潜在的な利点が挙げられます[1]。本研修ではアフガニスタン女子代表サッカーチームのサッカースキルおよび個々人の能力強化を通じてアフガニスタンの発展に寄与することを目指しました。
リーダーシップスキル、チームワーク向上、コミュニケーション手法やスポーツ心理学などアフガニスタン女子代表サッカーチームのニーズに沿った研修を広島で実施しました。様々なトレーニングやコーチング手法の成功事例や選手としての課題やリーダーシップを磨く機会などについてスポーツ選手との対談を通じて学びました。また、9月20にエディオンスタジアムで開催されたアンジュビオレ広島との親善試合では懸命にプレーしました。

UNITAR Completes the Training Phase of the MEFMI Partnership
