2021年8月5日・広島 － 昨今の新型コロナウイルスの世界的流行により、持続可能な未来の構築を目指す国際社会において、不測の事態に備える重要性が浮き彫りになりました。こうした背景を踏まえ、今般、国連経済社会局（UNDESA）、国連ユニタール主催、広島県とへいわ創造機構ひろしま（HOPe）の協力により、国連ハイレベル政治フォーラム特別イベントとして「核兵器廃絶と我らの持続可能な未来」を巡るオンラインパネルディスカッションを開催しました。
湯崎英彦氏（広島県知事兼HOPe代表）のビデオメッセージに続き、島田久仁彦氏（HOPeプリンシパル・ディレクター）をモデレーターとして迎え、ニキル・セス氏（国連事務次長補兼国連ユニタール総代表）、ダグラス・ショー氏（核脅威イニシャティブ・シニアコンサルタント）、バンダ・プロスコヴァ氏（プラハビジョン持続可能な安全保障研究所副会長）、鈴木健斗氏（自分ごと化プロジェクト代表）の４名のパネリストが、新型コロナウイルスと核問題という2つの社会課題を巡って討議しました。各パネリストは、国際社会には、目下のパンデミック危機に対応するだけではなく、今回の教訓から学び、核戦争などのリスクの顕在化を防ぐ対策が求められている、と警鐘を鳴らしました。

2021年6月11日・広島 － オンラインフォーラム「私たちの未来を創るために～25年後の未来を見据えたスポーツと平和～」が2021年3月25日に開催されました（国連ユニタール広島事務所、広島テレビ、国連ユニタール協会共催）。国連創設75周年とともに、広島の被爆から75年を迎えた2020年を振り返り、平和な未来と持続可能な開発目標（SDGs）にどのように働き掛けていくことができるか若者の視点を中心に語り合いました。
Deportare Partners代表/元陸上選手の為末大さんや、ユニタール主催の高校生スピーチコンテスト優勝者３名松原綺星さん、福島さくらさん、谷川知優さんを迎え、ユニタール総代表のニキル・セスとともに、スポーツと平和をテーマに議論を深めました。広島テレビの宮脇靖知アナウンサーの進行により、日本語・英語の2言語で開催し、ライブ配信も実施。105名の方にご参加いただきました。
