The real-time exercise recently performed in Vietnam by UNITAR/UNOSAT and their partners during the first week of May was successful.
Over 3,800 registrations received by UNITAR in two months for four upcoming e-Learning courses have taken the UNITAR Public Finance and Trade programme team by surprise! Most of the registrations have come from the public sector (65%), followed by the private sector (18%), academia (10%), and civil society organizations (7%).

By doing so, business, as a primary agent driving globalization, can help ensure that markets, commerce, technology and finance advance in ways that benefit economies and societies everywhere.
The 2009 Report of the UN Secretary-General to the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) on UNITAR is now available. The Report highlitghts the major strategic reforms undertaken by the Institute and recommends that UNITAR plays an important role in the overall effort to ensure more efficient service provision for training and research in the United Nations System.
