The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding is to target Ibero-American students to provide them with training and learning opportunities for those interested in pursuing careers in diplomacy and in other conjunctural fields as sustainability, negotiations, mediations, climate change, among others. On behalf of FUNGLODE and IGLOBAL, Dr. Fernández pointed to move forward in the ideal of educating young generations in the basis and principals that will help in the building of a more peaceful world.

In this initiative, the 2030 Agenda is placed at the forefront of assisting Island States like that of the Dominican Republic to further not only themselves, but the rest of the world in combating the climate crisis. UNITAR is excited to produce this new initiative after a fruitful meeting and then signing of the MoU. The meeting concluded successfully with both principals enthusiastic at the prospect of providing such a crucial learning opportunity to communities in general.
