28 June - 30 June 2011, New York, USA. The UNITAR New York Office organizes a “Workshop on the structure, retrieval and use of United Nations documentation”, jointly organized with the Dag Hammarskjöld Library and in cooperation with the Office of Legal Affairs. On both days, the workshop will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

The workshop will inform new delegates in permanent missions to the United Nations in New York how to identify and electronically retrieve the documents of the various organs of the United Nations. The workshop will provide an opportunity to comprehend the interrelationship between the structure of the United Nations and its documentation and effectively use the reference instruments and modern facilities available at the United Nations. Furthermore, the workshop will discuss the available resources on the oceans and the law of the sea.
