7 July 2024, Beijing, China - On 18 June 2024, UNITAR and China Global Television Network (CGTN) met in Beijing, led by UNITAR Executive Director Mr. Nikhil Seth, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of China Central Radio and Television Station Mr. Fan Yun.

The discussion centred on leveraging the strengths of both organizations through joint events and initiatives to foster a greater public understanding of global issues. Both leaders emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing pressing global challenges and highlighted the complementary capabilities of UNITAR and CGTN.

Mr. Nikhil Seth stated, 

UNITAR has been at the forefront of providing innovative learning solutions to address global issues. Partnering with a prominent media organization like CGTN opens up new avenues for reaching diverse audiences and enhancing the impact of our initiatives.”

Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Fan Yun remarked,
