UNITAR and eThekwini Municipality Deliver Road Safety Show at Mayville Primary School in Durban

More than 500 children are killed on the world’s roads daily. Children are particularly vulnerable because they often walk or use unsafe transportation to and from school.

Furthermore, road safety education as part of their normal school curriculum is recognized as being one of the most effective ways of providing youngsters with road safety knowledge. Road safety education develops knowledge,skills, attitudes and more importantly - values that enable pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, drivers and passengers to use the road safely. eThekwini Municipality and UNITAR delivered a Road Safety Show at Mayville Primary School in Durban. Through plays and activities, students learnt about road safety in an “easy to understand format”.
