19 November 2024, New York, USA – DiploTools, in partnership with UNITAR Office in New York, recently hosted an event titled Tech Solutions for the Growing Diplomatic Workload. This event highlighted the increasing complexities of diplomacy and the growing need for customized technological solutions to empower delegates, missions, and ministries. By addressing inefficiencies and streamlining bureaucratic processes, DiploTools aims to support diplomats in focusing on the core of their work: fostering international cooperation and dialogue.

The event began with opening remarks from Mr. Marco A. Suazo, Head of the UNITAR Office in New York, who emphasized the role of innovation in enhancing diplomatic effectiveness. Mr. Jerome Crettol, Founder of DiploTools, and Mr. Nico Isler, Co-Founder, introduced their organization and outlined its mission to revolutionize diplomatic workflows with purpose-built digital tools.

They showcased their first product, PowerElection, an election management system designed to streamline election-related tasks for missions and ministries. During a live demonstration, participants observed how PowerElection simplifies the management of international campaigns and elections through intuitive and efficient features.

The programme also included insights into DiploTools’ future initiatives. Mr. Crettol and Mr. Isler discussed the broader vision of developing additional tools that leverage low-tech solutions and advanced AI to overcome bureaucratic hurdles in diplomacy. The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session, allowing the participants to explore how these solutions could be adapted to their specific needs.
