From 18 – 20 November 2010, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Andean Development Corporation (CAF) successfully held the inaugural session of the Japan - Latin America Forum. The event served as a venue for the exchange of knowledge and best practices among public officials and key decision makers from Latin America and Japan. Delegates included Ministers and Vice-Ministers from both regions as well as leaders from the Japanese industrial sector, who examined inter-alia Clean Energy and Clean Production, as well as Carbon Markets. Sixteen countries were represented, including ten at an Ambassadorial level and five at a Ministerial level.
