18-22 July 2011, New York, USA. From 18 to 22 July 2011, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) New York Office, the World Trade Organization (WTO) and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) are organizing a Seminar on International Trade Law and Policy at the United Nations Headquarters. The seminar aims at enhancing the knowledge on trade-related issues of delegates of permanent missions to the United Nations in New York.
As part of this seminar, two panels will be enriching the debates. Indeed, the first panel is scheduled for Monday 18 July and will be discussing the interlinkages between "Trade, Intellectual property and Green Economy", and it will be in line with the preparatory process for Rio+20. Moreover, on Wednesday 20 July, the panel 2 entitled "Trade and Development towards Sustainable Development" will be discussing Climate Change issues within international organizations such as WTO and will address relevant issues in the preparatory process of the UNFCCC COP17 in Durban, South Africa.
