29 June 2018, Online – Knowledge management has a fundamental role to play in supporting and improving the humanitarian response in Pakistan. Users such as the national, provincial and local government authorities, donors and the international community, UN agencies, humanitarian partners and stakeholders, or a humanitarian practitioner, are looking for best practices, learning, innovations and impact of humanitarian support.

About the PELP
The Pakistan Evidence and Learning Platform (PELP) is funded by the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) and is an essential component of the DFID-supported Multi-Year Humanitarian Programme (MYHP). The PELP strengthens knowledge management in the humanitarian sector thereby ensuring a continuously improving humanitarian response. The PELP seeks to increase the accountability, transparency and effectiveness of the humanitarian system through three interconnected components: a knowledge and learning hub; third party monitoring; and an innovation grants mechanism. The PELP is initially being linked to the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office, and gradually will be transferred to a national entity or entities ensuring longer-term sustainability.
