26 July - 1 October 2010
The Local Development Programme of UNITAR is launching a new session of its proven e-learning course Governance in Urban Sanitation, in French language.
The course, which will run from 26 July to 1st October 2010, aims to enhance the capacity of local decision-makers and sanitation professionals to make the most enlightened decisions and investments in the area of urban sanitation. It provides analytical tools to understand the financial and institutional framework of the sanitation sector, taking into account the needs of urban poor communities.
The course is based on sound adult pedagogical principles including, among others, self-assessment activities, case study, peer-to-peer review and evaluation, and social elements. It is distributed in such a way to ensure the achievement of the learning objectives in a flexible manner, as participants can choose the learning pace that is the most adequate to them.
