CIFAL Bengaluru Successfully Launched School Feeding Programme
9 April 2017, Bengaluru, India – As part of CIFAL Bengaluru’s efforts and its partner the ACTS Groups of Institutions to contribute to advance Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG2), which aims to combat hunger and malnutrition by 2030, the CIFAL Centre launched on 9 April the “School Feeding Programme: Meeting the Nutritional Needs of Children”.
Through this Programme, 120 children from Nirmala Vidyalaya School - located in the Rajendranagar slum in Bengaluru, received nutritious breakfast and lunch made out of millets. In addition to providing meals to the children, parents also received breakfast and lunch.
With the support of the Praise Foundation, a multigrain porridge will be provided to school children on a daily basis for the entire academic year.
In alignment with SDG 2 and SDG3, CIFAL Bengaluru is committed to contribute to increase the nutrition levels of school children in Bengaluru.
