Call for Application: 2016 Online Courses for Finance and Trade Officials Now Available Online
5 January 2016, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR’s Public Finance and Trade Programme is pleased to announce and showcase a selection of the most sought after course titles for a global audience of finance and trade officials and professionals. These courses are meant to develop participants’ skills and enhance their effectiveness in addressing professional and institutional challenges in the areas of public finance, trade and intellectual property.
The 2016 catalogue of courses includes new titles related to combating corruption, global public goods, good governance and international development as well as the highly in-demand courses relating to financial negotiation, microfinance, risk management and financial governance.
Since 2013, the Programme has delivered over 450 online courses benefitting more than 21,000 beneficiaries globally with an overall satisfaction rate of 91%. Most of the beneficiaries (63%) come from Africa whilst European and Asian beneficiaries represent 12% each. Latin America’s share is at 10% while North America’s and the Middle East’s are at 2% and 1% respectively.
The courses are designed to allow the participants to fit studying around their daily schedules and learn from the comfort of their computers whilst still achieving high quality training. Invaluable group discussions, simulations and opportunities for international networking and collaboration amongst participants are facilitated through UNITAR’s online learning platform.
Drawing from both theoretical inputs and real-world case studies along with the knowledge of our senior international experts, each course takes into account the needs and requirements of participants from developing countries including leaset developed countries (LDCs), and emerging economies.
