The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is kicking off its first ever bottom-up crowdfunding campaign, UNITAR Peace Funder, which enables selected professionals from all regions of the world to enhance their applicable knowledge and technical skills, further consolidating their ability to act as peacebuilders and changemakers. UNITAR Master’s programmes in Conflictology, Electoral Policy and Administration, Humanitarian Action and Peacebuilding, and United Nations and the Art of Peace are tailored for professionals working within the framework of international and regional organizations, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations.

8 October 2018, Buenos Aires, Argentina- The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Argentina (CIFAL Argentina) hosted a conference at the Argentine Parliament on the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the key role of Parliaments to advance legislation in support of the SDGs.

2 October 2018, New York, NY, USA – The United Nations for Training and Research (UNITAR) hosted a training for Diplomats of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar on Scale of Assessment, held in the United Nations at the United Nations Building.

27 September 2018, Atlanta, United States - The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Atlanta (CIFAL Atlanta) in partnership with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA), the World Affairs Council of Atlanta hosted the 7th Annual Atlanta Conference on Global Health.

25 September 2018, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Shanghai (CIFAL Shanghai) in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce of China hosted the seminar “Information security technology for developing countries” on the 25 September 2018 in Shanghai.

20 September, 2018, Curitiba, Brazil – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Curitiba (CIFAL Curitiba) jointly with the Federation of Industries of the State of Parana (FIEP) System and Ecovia hosted the sixth edition of the Conference on Transit and Transformation, bringing together approximately 200 participants from the public and private sectors.

16 – 20 July 2018, Madrid, Spain – As a continuation of our long-standing collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), UNITAR delivered a five-day training workshop in Madrid on Public Diplomacy. The workshop was attended by 17 Saudi Arabian Diplomats from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The event took place as part of the numerous training workshops UNITAR will be delivering across 2018 for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
