The Learning Solutions team was chosen as a Top 20 finalist in the prestigious SDG Digital Game Changer Awards for their innovative work on Digital Training of Trainers Solutions. The prestigious awards are hosted by International Telecommunication Union, UNDP and the UN Secretary General’s Envoy on Technology. 

Leveraging the UN 2.0 emphasis on Digital Innovation and Behavioural Science, the project stood out among over 1180 global entries from over 126 countries and was recognised in the ‘Peace’ category at the SDG Digital Event in New York 20-21 September 2024.

The Digital Training of Trainers (TOT) Solutions have been developed over the recent years, and have supported scalable and accessible capacity building within UNITAR’s Division for Peace as well as for external audiences. These solutions have enhanced the capacities of multiple organisations and several thousand participants worldwide. 

These Digital TOT Solutions can easily be integrated into existing training programmes, and include:

1. eLearning Training of Trainers – a self-paced and cutting-edge eLearning course.
2. Micro Training of Trainers – available in 5 languages and freely accessible via mobiles.
3. Digitalised TOT Curriculum - A digital repository of activities intended to help our trainers design and deliver TOT sessions.
4. Trainer Certification System - A rigorous professional development pathway for trainers.
5. Digital Training Resources – Free digital guides and tools for trainers and learning designers.

This recognition reflects the potential of digital learning to drive sustainable development and lasting impact as well as the innovative work of the Learning Solutions team, who will continue their commitment to impactful, high quality and innovative solutions going forward.
