About the Global Sustainable Development Goals and Leadership Development Center
The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Global Youth Leadership Development Council (GYLDC) are proud to announce the official establishment of the UNITAR SDGs Singapore Center. Established in November 2024, the Center serves as a hub for youth empowerment and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region, advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Mission of the Center
The capacity development activities will focus on the following areas:
- Climate Change and SDGs
- Leadership Development
- Sustainable Development
- Volunteering Engagement
Core Activities
The Center will organize and host the following types if activities:
- Leadership Development Programme;
- Host and support above areas related activities and events;
- Volunteering and Community Engagement;
- Knowledge sharing and technical support to UNITAR, other UN agencies;
- Visits of targeted beneficiaries.
Partnership Support
The SDGs Singapore Center operates under the strategic guidance of UNITAR and is managed by GYLDC. The Center also welcomes partnerships with educational institutions, NGOs, and private enterprises to jointly advance sustainable development objectives.
