UNITAR Executive Director, Mr. Carlos Lopes held a high-level meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Ban Ki-moon, whose visit was marked by efforts to reinvigorate activities of the Conference on Disarmament (SG’s address) and the launch of the new Global Compact initiative, “LEAD”, a platform for corporate sustainability leadership, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum’s 2011 annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR’s) Multilateral Diplomacy Programme (MDP) organized an interactive two half days workshop on Mediation and Consensus Building for Efficient Diplomacy on 9 and 10 February in Geneva.
