UNITAR and the Geneva-based LALIVE law firm conducted a new e-learning course on “Introduction to Investment Arbitration” from March 14 to April 15, 2011. 21 May 2013, Geneva, Switzerland - After initial assessment, Humanitarian agencies are in agreement that Tropical Storm Mahasen that hit Bangladesh and Myanmar last week spared local populations any serious impact. 21 June 2013, Nairobi, Kenya - The second technical training on ‘Introduction to Remote Sensing (RS) and Field Data Collection Techniques for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR)’ was successfully delivered within the IGAD-UNOSAT initiative Disaster Risk Reduction Capacity Development in East Africa Using Geo-spatial Technologies.
