13 September 2022, Geneva, Switzerland – The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The Defeat-NCD Partnership at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). ※リンク先が英文となっている場合があります。ご了承ください。, 2022年11月22日、東アフリカ地域政府間開発機構事務局は国際連合開発計画(UNDP)・ユニタールと共同で、女性を対象とした起業・金融リテラシーオンライン研修を東アフリカで開始しました。25名の女性起業家がパイロット事業に参加し、5週間のオンライン研修と1週間の地域別対面ワークショップに取り組んでいます。研修を通して、参加者の起業及び金融に関する能力を強化し、参加者が自身でビジネスの機会を見出し、地域課題の解決に貢献することを目指しています。
なお同研修は、2021年にユニタールが実施した、アフリカにおけるジェンダー平等と女性の地位向上プロジェクトにおける、研修ニーズ調査の結果に基づいて作成されました。
