The evaluation analysed the first of three phases of this project (2012-2015). It has found that the starting assumption (the improvement of knowledge and competency will allow for a more sustainable and targeted utilisation of the water resource) is still pertinent. The mid-term evaluation found that the project has been an efficient and effective initiate, and highly relevant to its targeted users at both the global and national levels. ※リンク先が英文となっている場合があります。ご了承ください。, 2022年11月22日、東アフリカ地域政府間開発機構事務局は国際連合開発計画(UNDP)・ユニタールと共同で、女性を対象とした起業・金融リテラシーオンライン研修を東アフリカで開始しました。25名の女性起業家がパイロット事業に参加し、5週間のオンライン研修と1週間の地域別対面ワークショップに取り組んでいます。研修を通して、参加者の起業及び金融に関する能力を強化し、参加者が自身でビジネスの機会を見出し、地域課題の解決に貢献することを目指しています。
なお同研修は、2021年にユニタールが実施した、アフリカにおけるジェンダー平等と女性の地位向上プロジェクトにおける、研修ニーズ調査の結果に基づいて作成されました。
