The Division for Planet has been engaged in the development of a series of e-learning courses through the ONE UN Partnership for Climate Change Learning (UN CC:Learn). The courses are developed with a wide range of partners such as other UN agencies, public institutions, international organisations and private sector companies. Some of the upcoming e-courses include:
1) Introduction to Sustainable Finance (with GIZ)
2) Carbon Tax (with the World Bank)
3) Sustainable Diet (with Danone)
4) Integrating Climate Risk Information into National Adaptation Planning (with WMO)
The UN CC:Learn newly launched e-learning platform has allowed the programme to reach out to even more potential learners around the world bringing the overall registration number to more than 180,000 people (80% of which come from developing countries).
Building on the SDG 17, the partnership between UNITAR and Danone has entered an exciting phase of the final development stage of a jointly created e-learning course that will help empower Danone's 100,000 employees to drive sustainable change. Last year Danone introduced nine goals, aligned with the United Nations 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, to drive long-term sustainable value creation and deliver its "One Planet. One Health" vision. The "Sustainable Diet" e-course will also be available on UN CC:eLearn platform to help individuals from all walks of life to understand the connection between everyday food choices, health and climate change. The innovative, video-based format includes interviews with sustainability and nutrition experts, food practitioners, famous chefs, local farming and food associations and many more.

Page Ministerial Conference:
As part of PAGE (Partnership for Action on Green Economy Learning), UNITAR participated in the 3rd PAGE Ministerial Conference that took place on 10-11 January 2019 in Cape Town, South Africa. Over 500 leaders and innovators from governments, the private sector and civil society, and from more than 50 countries, gathered to discuss strategies and policies and to advance inclusive and sustainable economies. One of the results of the Ministerial Conference is the “Cape Town Action Pathways Towards 2030” document, which outlines the key policy messages that emerged from discussions and the pathways to support countries in advancing sustainable and inclusive economies.
