Background

Action Learning focuses on increasing the learning capacity of executives in governments, organisations, businesses, civil society, trade unions, academia, etc., while responding to a real global challenge in a multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder approach. Critical peer-to-peer reflection is an important part of the experience. This experience of ‘exchange’ can generate new approaches across sectors, and help build systemic innovation and problem-solving skills.

This SDG Workshop allows participants to use the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs as a holistic framework for their organisations plans and sustainability strategies.

Event objectives

Implementing the UN declarations, principles and guidelines with a focus on local capacity building for Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Learning objectives:

  • - Understand the integrated and indivisible nature of the SDGs and how they relate to your organisation.
  • Learn how to use the SDG Spiderweb as a self-assessment tool for your organisation, its policies, projects and/or other initiatives.
  • Discover how your organisation negatively and/or positively impacts the SDGs and be better equipped to prioritise actions ahead

The central purpose of CIFAL Flanders is to develop and strengthen human capacities to better respond to development challenges.

CIFAL Flanders relies on an Action Learning approach that aims to:

  • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge, experiences and best practices amongst government officials, private sector and civil society leaders.
  • Enhance capabilities to effectively perform relevant tasks.
  • Encourage cooperation and the development of multi-stakeholder partnerships

At CIFAL Flanders, every Action Learning for Sustainability Leadership begins with:

  • The theoretical frame.
  • A period of strategic questioning of the problem.
  • Action items and goals.
  • Analyzing and reflection
Targeted audience

Governments, businesses, civil society, trade unions, and academia.
