INTRODUCTION
This MSc Gender and Diplomatic Practice programme offers an opportunity to study diplomacy in theory and practice from a gender-inclusive perspective. Students will explore key ideas and debates surrounding gender, global gender identities, and critical junctures with diplomacy. The modules will cover concepts in international politics, diplomacy, and gender studies including through historical, sociological, and cultural approaches.
Students will be invited to reflect on how to foster gender-inclusive environments in contexts of international cooperation and global diplomacy. In addition to academic learning, the programme includes seminars, discussions, and practical activities led by seasoned experts in the field of diplomacy and senior or high-profile UN professionals. Furthermore, during the programme’s final semester, students with a strong profile may have the opportunity to apply for a highly sought-after opportunity to receive on-the-job training within the UN system or with UN- affiliated organisations. Alternatively, students may have the option to submit a Digital Project to boost their employability, designing online campaigns for charities and state institutions.
This 1-year full time, or 2-year part time programme launches in September 2025, and is taught in-person in Stirling, United Kingdom.

Academic requirements
· A minimum of a second-class honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.

If English is not your first language you must have one of the following qualifications as evidence of your English language skills:
· IELTS Academic or UKVI 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-skill.
· Pearson Test of English (Academic) 62 overall with 60 in each sub-skill.
· IBT TOEFL 80 overall with 18 in reading, 23 in writing, 19 in listening and 21 in speaking.
