Summary
Established in 2023, CIFAL Banjul is hosted by the University of The Gambia (UTG) in Banjul, Gambia. The center provides a range of learning opportunities to enhance capabilities, refine decision-making processes and foster knowledge exchange between public servants and leaders of the African Region countries to improve the decision-making processes and encourage sustainable development.

CIFAL Banjul Director
Dr. Christopher Belford
Dr. Belford s a Senior Lecturer at the University of The Gambia, with expertise in Economic Development, Economic Policy Analysis, and Economic Theory in developing countries. Dr. Belford has also worked as a Business Relations Officer at Standard Chartered Bank in The Gambia.He graduated with a degree in Economics and Management from the University of Gambia and holds a specialization in Agricultural Economics from the National Taiwan University and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
