22 December 2025, London, United Kingdom - The CIFAL Global Network convened its XXII Annual Steering Committee Meeting from 9 to 11 December 2025 in London, United Kingdom, bringing together more than 70 delegates from over 30 countries, including Directors and Chairpersons representing 32 CIFAL Centres worldwide.
Promoting and protecting Human Rights is a continuous practice that shapes how institutions serve people and uphold dignity, inclusion, and justice for all. To strengthen the capacity of professionals to fulfill this responsibility in an increasingly complex landscape, the Saudi Human Rights Commission, UNITAR, and Majmaah University collaborated to implement the Expert in Human Rights Programme in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It deepened understandings of Human Rights and empowered participants to translate knowledge into effective practice.

A feature of the initiative is its promotion of South-South and triangular cooperation formats, as well as public-private collaboration.

Joined the international observance of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, a United Nations initiative aimed at raising awareness, strengthening prevention efforts, and eliminating all forms of gender-based violence.
25 November 2025, Geneva, Switzerland – As e-commerce expands, the food delivery sector is also expanding globally. The Boston Consulting Group estimates that e-commerce will account for 41 percent of global retail sales by 2027, a significant increase from the 18 percent in 2017. The adoption of e-commerce as a business model extends to various sectors, including food providers and restaurants. This trend has resulted in companies employing local motorcycle riders to deliver food and parcels, leading to the emergence of a new job opportunities, predominantly as delivery riders. This shift has also been accompanied by a growing number of motorcycle riders on the road and traffic crashes involving food delivery and non-food delivery motorcycle drivers.

The workshop strengthens leadership and collaboration skills among Geneva’s international community, emphasizing inclusivity, responsibility, and shared action toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
