16 October 2018, Taguig City, Philippines – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Philippines (CIFAL Philippines) jointly with the University of the Philippines (UP) Korea Research Center and UP Asian Center convened the Conference “South Korean Migration to Philippines” at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Philippines.

8 October 2018, Buenos Aires, Argentina- The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Argentina (CIFAL Argentina) hosted a conference at the Argentine Parliament on the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the key role of Parliaments to advance legislation in support of the SDGs.

27 September 2018, Atlanta, United States - The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Atlanta (CIFAL Atlanta) in partnership with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (HJAIA), the World Affairs Council of Atlanta hosted the 7th Annual Atlanta Conference on Global Health.

25 September 2018, Shanghai, People’s Republic of China – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Shanghai (CIFAL Shanghai) in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce of China hosted the seminar “Information security technology for developing countries” on the 25 September 2018 in Shanghai.

20 September, 2018, Curitiba, Brazil – The International Training Centre for Authorities and Leaders in Curitiba (CIFAL Curitiba) jointly with the Federation of Industries of the State of Parana (FIEP) System and Ecovia hosted the sixth edition of the Conference on Transit and Transformation, bringing together approximately 200 participants from the public and private sectors.

A Framework of Cooperation between the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Group of Fifteen (G-15), a grouping of developing countries focused on South-South cooperation, was signed on 4th July, 2016 in Geneva.

24 April 2016, Jeju, Republic of Korea – CIFAL Jeju convened twenty-two government officials (central, state and local), NGO workers and private company representatives from fourteen different countries in the Asia-Pacific region for a four-day workshop on "Green Energy and Sustainable City Planning." CIFAL Jeju, in collaboration with Green Technology Center (GTC), International Electric Vehicle Expo (IEVE) and UNEP International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC), held the event from 21 to 24 March 2016 at International Convention Center Jeju (ICC Jeju).

UNITAR Holds Workshop, "Collaborative Leadership and the 2030 Agenda"

23-26 February 2016, Geneva, Switzerland – After a successful pilot workshop in September 2015, the workshop, “Collaborative Leadership and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” took place 23-26 February 2016 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.  The workshop was attended by 26 participants who represented diplomatic missions and other entities in Geneva.

19 January 2016, Geneva, Switzerland - It is with great sadness that we learned that our highly respected and beloved colleague, Mr. Jean Gazarian, UNITAR full-time Senior Fellow, passed away yesterday at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, United States.  Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family.
