4 September 2023, Geneva, Switzerland – UNITAR and the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH), have strengthened their existing partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This MoU solidifies our commitment to collaborate and cooperate with the goal to make a positive impact on access to plasma-derived therapies worldwide.
Recognizing the indispensable role that plasma-derived therapies have played in improving the lives of patients with hemophilia, this MoU is a milestone in fortifying and expanding our existing collaboration. Our shared mission envisions to promote cooperation through different means, such as knowledge sharing, innovative education, training, capacity-building solutions, and raising awareness to improve access to plasma-derived therapies.
Through this initiative, UNITAR and the WFH aspire to make significant advancements in healthcare and capacity-building initiatives. The partnership's collective efforts will lead to tangible and sustainable impacts, benefitting communities worldwide.

The World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) is a non‑profit organization dedicated to improving and sustaining care for people with inherited bleeding disorders around the world. We work in partnership with healthcare providers (HCPs), governments, and our global network of national member organizations (NMOs) in 147 countries. We provide our NMOs and HCPs with the knowledge and tools they need to identify, support, and treat people living with bleeding disorders in their communities, while promoting global advocacy and collaboration to achieve our common goals.
