15 April 2020, Madrid, Spain – UNITAR and CIFAL Merida in partnership with ITAérea Aeronautical Business School, the Airport Group of the Southeast of Mexico (ASUR) and the Airports Council International Latin America and the Caribbean (ACI-LAC) launched today the Diploma in Airport Management - online modality.
Airports and air transport are essential to our global society. They are drivers of economic, social and cultural development. Balancing the three pillars of sustainability – social, economic and environmental will allow the air transport industry and airports to grow in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Especially in a time of crisis, airports facilitate crucially needed cargo and help maintain connectivity. From protecting the health and safety of airport employees and travelers to ensuring critical services, airports play a critical role.
This training programme offered by UNITAR, CIFAL Merida and ITAérea Aeronautical Business School in a critical topic like airport management addresses topics such as problems of capacity and operations, airport facilities, air cargo, safety and security, environment, commercial development, business management, emergency preparedness and response, among others.
Participants successfully completing all the requirements will receive a Diploma of Airport Management Specialist issued by ITAérea Aeronautical Business School and UNITAR.
