Course Information
Within the international stage, interpretation plays a key role in supporting the diplomatic process. Recognizing this, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is proud to have partnered with the United Nations Interpreters to produce a new course, the UNITAR - United Nations Interpreters' course on "Working in a Multilingual Environment". Designed by interpreters of the United Nations, the programme will equip speakers with the skills needed to communicate effectively across multilingual audiences. Key information:
- This part-time, online course takes place between 1-28 September 2025.
- The course is free of charge.
- The course is available in all six UN languages; Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian.
- The registration deadline is 31 August 2025.

- Select the best delivery to make sure that your message is fully heard and interpreted;
- Identify delivery and interpretation challenges and ways to avoid them.
UNITAR - United Nations Interpreters’ course on “Working in a Multilingual Environment"
This course was designed by the interpreters of the United Nations to equip speakers with the key skills they need to make the best possible use of the powerful tool that is interpretation. Using plain language and video illustrations, we will cover all the necessary linguistic and technical steps to make your interaction with the interpreters, and their ability to convey your message fully and faithfully to a multilingual audience, as fruitful, smooth, and productive as possible.

Este curso ha sido diseñado por los intérpretes de las Naciones Unidas. Su objetivo es ayudar a los oradores a sacar el mayor partido posible de una valiosa herramienta: la interpretación. Les explicaremos de manera sencilla, con ayuda de soportes visuales, cómo permitir que los intérpretes transmitan su mensaje a una audiencia multilingüe, de manera fiel y exhaustiva, para lograr los mejores resultados.
