1 November 2016, Casablanca, Morocco - The UNITAR Hiroshima Office has successfully completed the first workshop of the UNITAR Hiroshima Training Programme on Anti-Corruption for North Africa. Supported by the People of Japan, the workshop was held in Casablanca, Morocco on 24-27 October 2016 and delivered in French. An intense and productive training of trainers (ToT) was run in Cairo from the 4th – 6th December, 2010 in partnership with the Cairo Center for Training on Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA). The programme saw innovative and interactive training techniques utilized in the delivery and training of individuals from civil society, universities and government. The programme helped participants increase their use of training methodologies, while at the same time immersing them in concepts of natural resource management and peacekeeping.

St. Gallen Students Visit UNITAR for the Second Time
08 February 2017, Geneva, Switzerland - The 2nd school visit of students from the St. Gallen Kantonsschule am Burggraben (Switzerland) to the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) took place on Wednesday, 1st February 2017 in Geneva. The visit was requested by the school as part of the 3-day Students’ United Nations simulation in Geneva. St. Gallen students participated in the 1st Youth Climate Dialogues with the Lilongwe Girls Secondary School (Malawi) on November 2015.
