The National University of Colombia is the most important public university in the country. It has 9 campuses, 4 of them located in the Andean region (Bogotá, Medellín, Manizales and Palmira), one in César (La Paz) and 4 National Presence Campuses, located in the Amazon, Orinoco, Tumaco and San Andrés. This allows the University to function as a multi-campus system that represents the regional, social and cultural complexity of our country. Likewise, the University has curricular programs in most areas of knowledge, 102 undergraduate and 366 graduate programs. It is made up of 21 faculties, 73 departments, 29 schools, 60 institutes and research centers, 13 museums, 5 astronomical observatories, and a music conservatory. Currently, according to the QS World University Ranking, it is ranked 258th in the world and 10th in Latin America.
